Evidence-based psychiatric care that honors the complexity of being human.

My enduring fascination is with human flourishing.

I am interested in the conditions that help people grow into fuller expressions of themselves and the forces that pull us away from that possibility. This inquiry has led me across psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, human development, relationships, philosophy, and the study of meaning. In a culture increasingly optimized for speed, distraction, and performance, I am drawn to questions of depth: what sustains wellbeing across a lifetime, what fosters resilience in the face of suffering, and what allows individuals, families, and communities to thrive.

I do not believe human beings can be understood through symptoms alone. We are shaped by biology, relationships, culture, history, and the stories we tell about ourselves. My work is rooted in a deep respect for that complexity and a conviction that growth remains possible throughout life. Whether through clinical work, writing, teaching, or conversation, my hope is to contribute to a wiser understanding of what it means to be human—and how we might meet this moment in history with greater presence, connection, vitality, and courage, becoming more fully ourselves in the process.
